Legacy

I am currently looking at possible initial attack/defend strategies and this is what I have come up with. This is currently taking into consideration the following team setup so slight changes will need to be done depending on classes

Team of 3:

• Guardian
• Mesmer
• Engineer

This team goes straight to Graveyard (Mid) which ever side your on.

The solo player that attacks Quarry if on Red or Waterfall if on Blue should probably be a Necro or Elementalist

The thief should initially go to Mid with the team of 3 then check on Waterfall and determine if it is possible to cap it while also looking for an opportunity to attack their base.

The Mesmer needs to keep those portals between Graveyard and Quarry up as much as possible allowing for quick reinforcement if and when needed.

On this map we normally do rather well but sometimes we come up against a few problems generally two people rushing the middle to killsteal the NPC and then cap Henge/Mine

So here is my proposed basic team setup of:

• Guardian
• Thief
• Mesmer
• Necro or Elementalist
• Engineer

The Mesmer and Necro/Ele go straight to Keep while the Engineer caps Henge/Mine. The Thief then kills our NPC then reinforces Keep or Henge/Mine depending on the current situation.

The Guardian will take the path on the Henge/Mine side going towards Keep. Keeping an eye of enemy attackers coming to our base and NPC and if need be using using Staff weapon skill 5 to block their path before hunkering down at Keep

Same team setup as before:

• Guardian
• Thief
• Mesmer
• Engineer
• Necro/Ele

Engineer goes straight to our closet objective which in this example is Mansion from the Blue perspective. Two people attack the enemy Treb I would recommend either the Thief and Guardian or the Thief and Mesmer and the left over goes and caps Clock Tower leaving the Necro/Ele using the Treb proving additional pressure at Mansion & Clock Tower as and when needed.

The enemy Treb needs taking out quickly, then the two attacker will need to split one reinforcing Clock Tower while the other has a little more freedom of attacking Windmill, Defending our Treb or reinforcing Mansion

I have also included the use of Mesmer Portals again on this map as from that video Tol linked I believe they should not be underestimated in their usefulness on this map as a defense mechanic.

Nice Ideas Gen, I hope we get to try these out soon enough.

Basically what we need is practice, the standard of teams doing tournament is no much higher than it was a few weeks ago. That is because those teams carried on (no one seems to solo queue either), we do three attempts then give up if we lose.

Unfortunately I think to play catch up we are now going to have to suffer some humiliating losses in order to get to where we should be.
